Lesson Seven - Presentations and Prezi

Today we are going to speak about presentations. First, discuss the questions:

1. When and why do people need presentations? 
2. What is more important: what is on the slides or what is being told by the presenter? 
3. What do people create presentations for?
4. What are the rules of making presentations? 
5. What mistakes do people do when they prepare their presentations in the design and the presenting by a speaker?

Watch Good and bad presentation. Have you ever seen people behaving like in the video? Have you ever made such mistakes yourself?
Bad presentations are so common that people laugh at them. What mistakes does the speaker laugh at?


In groups study the links below and write down the most important information in the form of rules  to share with your groupmates:

and Rules for more effective presentation


Now exchange the tips that you have found with the groupmates and make one list of DOs and DON'Ts for the design of an effective presentation and another for the presenter's behaviour.

You are going to demostrate how well you understand the rules of creating presentations.Decide on a topic of your presentation: it should start with HOW TO, the rest is up to you. Be creative (We had How to make a film like Tarantino, How to travel to the Moon, How to make an awesome hairstyle)

 Think what you will tell in your presentation and what pics or media you'll need for it.Then go to prezi.com and make your presentation. Mind all you've learned at the lesson.

Post your prezi in your blog. At the lesson you will make your presentation in the class (show and tell).
